Kate The Midwife
I am a Certified Professional Midwife licensed in the state of Texas working in the greater Austin area. As a home birth midwife, I am deeply humbled by the trust families place in me and strive to provide the highest level of care. I believe the three pillars of midwifery care are relationship, education and clinical care. I love my work. I am reminded everyday of the strength of the human spirit, the unlimited capacity we have to grow and the beauty of the rawness in our lives. My training includes both the home setting and high volume birth center in Texas and California.

Founder/OwnerKate The Midwife started Central Texas Midwifery in 2021 with the aim of providing thoughtful high quality care to the growing families of Austin and Central Texas.
Midwifery care improves perinatal outcomes which impacts the whole family and expands our parenting potential, the most important job in the world.
Midwife michelle
My midwifery journey started as a doula more than 12 years ago. I went on to serve hundreds of families as a birth assistant, as a student midwife and then a staff midwife at the Austin Area Birth Center.
Midwifery is a calling, one that found me when I had my sweet babies. I believe in the profound impact of this work on families and the community and on myself.
